ARDEX G10
Ardex’s G10 Premium elastic grout is cement based. It is intended for grouting ceramic tiles and slabs, as well as glass mosaic, glass tiles and natural stone, for interior and exterior use. Suitable for a joint width of 1-10 mm.
The joint is characterized by optimal processing quality, increased color resistance, independence from water absorption of the flooring, long washing time, as well as a fine joint surface. Once cured, ARDEX G10 has water and dirt repellent properties that have a positive effect on the appearance, condition and retention of value of the flooring. The high deformability and good adhesion to the sides of the tile reduce the stress on thermally loaded surfaces and contribute significantly to the durability of the coatings.
Mixing is done by pouring clear water into a clean mixing bowl and mixing ARDEXG10 until a pasty solution without granules is formed. Alternatively, the G10-pack can be mixed directly. Mechanical stirring with a suitable stirrer is required. After a maturation time of 2-3 minutes, it must be mixed again. The mixing ratio is 5 kg of ARDEX G10 with 1.7 l of water.
The solution is treated at a temperature of +20°C within about 30 minutes. Higher temperatures shorten the processing time, lower temperatures lengthen it. The solution has a high filling capacity and is easily applied with a trowel or rubber spreader. After the grout has slightly hardened, it can be pre-washed with a sponge within 15 to 45 minutes, regardless of the ceramic used, and after a short waiting time washed until clean.
After standing for a long time, the surface should be moistened to facilitate the washing process. Any remaining cement slurry can later be removed with a damp sponge. ARDEX G10 should be processed at temperatures above +5° C.
